About Our Clinics

Since 2012, we have hosted riding clinics for a variety of disciplines including dressage, eventing, and hunter-jumpers, and we have hosted seminars on a variety of topics including horse nutrition and natural horsemanship. The audience generally consists of a great variety of riders and trainers, including those who may just keep a horse in their backyard, Pony Club kids, Barrington Hills Riding Club members, and trainers who have their own group of students at other local barns.

We select teachers who are at the very top of their field, bringing knowledge that the local Barrington riding community would not otherwise have access to—for example, Jan Ebeling, Olympic Gold Medalist in Dressage; Frank Madden, national and international hunter judge and equitation trainer; Tigger Montague, who created her own horse nutrition regime; Melanie Smith Taylor, Olympic Gold Medalist in Jumping; and Alicia Landman teaching groundwork as mentored by Buck Brannaman. Each of the teachers we select has a mission to teach fundamentals of horsemanship to a wide audience.

Our clinics are known for their atmosphere of camaraderie and exchange of ideas. Throughout each day of the clinics we provide breakfast, lunch, beverages, and snacks.
